ALL ABOUT PIXELBLADING

Microblading

WHAT IS PIXELBLADING?

Pixelblading is the process of gently implanting pigment into the skin using tiny pixel dots. Specialized pixel blades are used to lightly prick the skin, depositing beautiful pixel dots of color. Because these are such small pricks instead of slices, the healing is incredibly easy! Only a slight amount of scabbing, if any.

Your artist will turn the blade as they work to follow the natural flow of your hair growth. By following your hair flow pattern as their template, you will be given an ultra-realistic look customized to your brows.

Sick of filling in your brows everyday?

We all know Microblading is a very popular service offered by tens of thousands of artists.

BUT HERE’S THE PROBLEM!

Microblading doesn’t work for EVERYONE!

Did you know that MANY skin types do not heal well with microblading?

THE ANSWER? Pixelblading!

– Better healing

 – Less painful

– And better pigment retention

IS PIXELBLADING PAINFUL?

The pain is minimal. Most clients feel absolutely no pain. We use numbing for our clients to have a comfortable experience and apply it throughout the procedure.

IS PIXELBLADING SAFE?

Yes, it is very safe. We use pre-sterilized and disposable needles and equipment for every customer to ensure that there is no cross-contamination.

IS PIXELBLADING PERMANENT? IS PIXELBLADING A TATTOO?

Yes. Essentially, any procedure that requires breaking the skin and implanting pigment into it is considered a tattoo. Pixelblading is semi-permanent, which means that after some time it will fade away. However, unlike tattooed brows, these treatments provide natural-looking eyebrows, unlike traditional eyebrow tattooing.

HOW LONG DOES THE INK LAST ON THE SKIN? HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO GET A RETOUCH?

Color retention varies per person and also depends on other various factors such as sun exposure, skin type, and skincare products but if you want to maintain the shape and color, a retouch every 1-3 years would be advisable.

WON'T EYEBROW TATTOOS SAG AS WE AGE?

No. Tattoos don't sag but our skin does. If the designed shape coincides closely with the natural eyebrow shape, your tattooed brows shouldn't separate from the natural one and you wouldn't end up with two eyebrows as commonly believed.

HOW MANY HOURS DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

Best to set aside at least 3 hours to include eyebrow mapping (typically the longest part of the procedure) and the tattoo procedure itself.

HOW DO I PREPARE MYSELF BEFORE THE PROCEDURE?

Do not work out 24 hours before the procedure.

No alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before the procedure.

Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to the procedure.

Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 24 hours before the procedure.

No brow waxing, tinting, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels one week before.

Discontinue Retin-A 4 Weeks Prior.

Do not use AHA skincare products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks after your procedure.

No Botox around the brow area 2 weeks prior.

WILL THERE BE SWELLING?

There will be some slight swelling and reddening of the skin but this is not very noticeable and will go away quickly after the procedure.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

The most noticeable part of the healing process should take around7-14 days. However, this could differ from person to person. You will expect to see the full results after a month. Below explains the full healing process.

HOW SOON AFTER CAN I HAVE A TOUCH-UP?

We recommend a minimum of 4-6 weeks after the first session to allow the skin to heal completely before another session. Forcing another session before this duration will cause a high risk for scarring.

CAN I DO WITHOUT A TOUCH-UP?

Ideally, most people will really benefit from the touch-up session. The touch-up or perfecting appointment is important because sometimes the skin does not retain color or is more sensitive during the first procedure. That perfecting appointment skin retains ink much better..

WILL MY EYEBROWS STILL GROW AFTER THE PIXELBLADING PROCEDURE?

Yes of course. It does not affect hair growth in any way.

CAN I STILL HAVE PIXELBLADING DONE ON ME IF I ALREADY HAVE AN EXISTING EYEBROW TATTOO?

This depends on the shape, color, and healing of the old tattoo. If it’s very dark and solid or the shape is unflattering then we would recommend having it lightened/removed first before we can tattoo over them again.

WHAT COLOR WILL BE USED FOR THE INK?

The color to be used has to match the natural color of the hair of the brows. We will go over the many colors we have at the time of the appointment.

WILL THE INK TURN GREEN/BLUE ETC?

The older, first-generation pigments from many years ago had the tendency of causing some brows to discolor but we use only the newest and best cosmetic tattoo inks in the market that deliver true to color results. Our artist is also very knowledgeable in color mixing which further ensures that your desired results will be met.

IS PIXELBLADING SAFE FOR PEOPLE WITH DIABETES/HEART DISEASE/EPILEPSY/PREGNANT/LACTATING ETC.?

This depends on the severity of your condition and your ability to heal but we highly discourage tattoos on pregnant and lactating women. It will be best to consult with your physician before undergoing the procedure.

CAN I STILL DONATE BLOOD EVEN AFTER PIXELBLADING?

According to Red Cross Philippines, “As long as the tattooing procedure was done aseptically (in a sterile manner), he/ she may donate blood one year after the procedure. This is the same with ear piercing, acupuncture, and other procedures involving needles.” We follow the same standard here in the studio so, yes you can still donate blood.

IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN’T DO AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

We recommend not to let your eyebrows get in contact with water within the first 3 hours after Pixelblading. As much as possible, restrict sun exposure, swimming, and excessive sweating while your eyebrows are still healing.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BROWS AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

Do not touch brows or the surrounding area for 24 hours.

Keep the brow area clean by using a gentle fragrance-free cleanser and water with freshly washed hands morning and night (2x/day). Do not scrub.

Allow eyebrows to air dry before applying a thin layer of aftercare that is provided at the time of service.

Apply a very thin layer of the aftercare serum given at the time of the service, until brows are no longer flaking (about 2 weeks) with freshly washed hands or a Q tip.

Do not apply Vaseline, Petrolium, A & D ointments or Bepanthen to the area as the risk of infection is very high.

DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area.

Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss.

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, pool (chlorine is irritating), sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 3 weeks.

Avoid physical effort, gym, and any other activity that may cause excessive sweating for at least 5 and up to 14 days. (If you do sweat, clean area asap after)

Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.

NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for two weeks.

NO Botox around the brow area for two weeks after.

NO facials, chemical treatments, and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

After 14 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading. (At least SPF 30, if not 50)

Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure.

Avoid Retin-A close to the brow area.
