ALL ABOUT SALINE REMOVAL

WHAT IS SALINE REMOVAL?

Saline tattoo removal is a process by which we penetrate the skin with a saline solution (salt + purified water) to break up the tattoo pigment and pull it out of the skin. The procedure is similar to tattooing or microblading but instead of injecting ink underneath the skin, we’re doing the reverse, which is pulling it out.

WHAT SALINE SOLUTION IS USED?

Li-Ft is a safe is non-acid, high salt-based, fruit seed extract, and effective saline tattoo removal process that is implanted into the skin to break up and heal pigment skin. Li-Ft is made by Li Pigments in New Jersey. The combination of lemon and orange seed extract makes the solution more powerful in lightening/removal prior tattooed skin.
The lab in which it is made runs as an FDA Lab. It is Vegan Certified.
Ingredients: Sea Salt Powder, Aloe Vera, Sterile Water, Lemon Seed Extract, Orange Seed Extract.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SALINE AND LASER?

Saline raises the pigment up and out of the skin where laser breaks it down and pushes it further into the skin. Saline Does not scar if done properly, laser can scar the skin even when done properly because it penetrates so deep.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL IT TAKE?

Average of 1-5 sessions, in some cases more.
It depends on a few different variables:
-Number of layers on ink done
-Type and quality of pigment/ink
-Depth, how deep was the ink/pigment implanted
-Saturation
-Properly following aftercare instructions
-Lifestyle
-Skin type (Oily skin will take longer, Dry skin is faster)
-How well the client's skin heals
-How much pigment you would like removed or lightened.

IS MY SKIN TYPE OKAY TO HAVE SALINE REMOVAL?

Mature skin can not have removal because the skin is traumatized so easily.
Skin that easily gets hyperpigmentation: If the color is the only thing that needs to be fixed, then there is no problem with removal. If the shape is off the frame and your skin is prone to hyper or hypo pigmentation then we cannot perform the removal.
Scarred Skin: If the skin is keloid we cannot perform the removal. If you are prone to keloiding we can do a patch.

IS IT PAINFUL?

It can sting because of the components found in the Saline solution but we do apply numbing. It is a fairly quick procedure and we do our best to keep to comfortable.

DOES ALL OF THE TATTOOED AREA HAVE TO BE DONE OR CAN I ONLY HAVE PARTS OF THE TATTOO REMOVED?

We can focus on sections that you want to be removed if you do not want all of the tattooed area to be removed.

CAN I HAVE EMERGENCY REMOVAL?

Emergency removal can only be done within 48 hours.

HOW DO I CARE FOR THE REMOVAL AREA AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

Aftercare is pretty simple, but if you do not follow all the steps then you will not get the best results possible.
For the first seven days, you will lightly pat the treated area with saline wound care three to four times a day, which I will supply. Then after all the scabs have naturally fallen off and you will start to apply vitamin D oil, which I will supply also.
You must avoid:
-Applying makeup
-Picking, scratching or rubbing
-Getting the area excessively wet
-Sweating
-Sun exposure
-Sleeping on the treated area
The healing process takes an average of 2 weeks but each person is different.

HOW FAR APART DO MY REMOVAL SESSIONS NEED TO BE?

8 weeks apart
